It’s that time of year again! NOLA Fashion Week is here! Time to break out the sparkles….and  white linen granny shorts?? Yep, that’s what I did for the kickoff party on Saturday. I scooped up these vintage Anne Taylor shorts from the thrift store recently. I normally would have passed them right up, but after seeing this post from We Wore What, I was inspired to try out the oversized, white shorts look myself. I went with a sexier top & shoe combo, where Danielle just went all out Man Repeller style.

The first day of shows kicked off yesterday with Hazel & Florange and Camilyn Beth following what I’m sure was a lovely brunch, if only I could have gotten out of bed in time to make (damn you prosecco, Ciroc & box wine)! Coverage from the Hazel & Flo show and another outfit post coming up shortly.

But until then, if you haven’t already check out what you can expect from upcoming shows: HUNT COLLECTIVENoël Martin, and Ella Rose.

P.S. In honor of Fashion Week, here’s a tip of the day (or 2): Don’t be afraid to take a risk and wear something different. And hey, it’s okay to wear white after Labor Day people!
