Print Party

Stripes, floral, polka dots, leopard, plaid, yep, they are all invited to my print party! I have been really into mixing prints recently because it gives your outfits more visual interest and uniqueness, but most of all because it’s FUN! Some think they cannot pull off this look, or even fathom wearing two different prints in one outfit. I think those people need to get with it! In today’s fashion world, anything goes. I mean, wearing socks and sandals was a big fashion faux pas at one time, and now one major trend. And that gives me an idea for another blog post in case some of you are wondering what the hell I’m talking about. Socks and sandals?? Is she off her rocker? Nope. But for now lets just stick to this whole mixing prints thing. A few guidelines for all you newbies – Choose one neutral colored print and one colorful (black & white stripes/floral is my fav combo), use in small quantities (adding a clutch in another print is all you need), and mix prints with the same color scheme. So next time you’re invited to a party, whether it’s a casual daytime event, or a night out, make it a print party!
